Great fun, medals and a first and two third places at our first Life Saving Competition!

On Sunday 6th March, twenty of our lifesavers entered a Rookie Lifeguard Festival hosted by Okehampton Otters at Okehampton Pool.  We had a fantastic, fun-filled afternoon taking part in fun relays such as rescue tube, rope throwing, body board and a fashion show relay with a giant inflatable shoe!  

We went along, unsure about what to expect from our first time competing against other clubs and came away delighted with our A team coming in first place and our B team coming third in the year 5 and 6 category!  

Our year 3 and 4 team came third and also had silver medals for best team, along with our D team gaining bronze medals for best team.

All children who took part showed fantastic team work, enthusiasm and did Aqua Stars proud!

Third Place: Megan, Milo, Alisha and Scott with their bronze medals for coming in third place in the year 5 & 6 category.

Third place: Charlie, Aaron, Corbin and Archie with their bronze medals won in the year 3 & 4 category.  They also went on to receive a silver medal for best team.
